Bookworms Take Note: DearReader Rules!

A few weeks back, my good friend, Gayle, a fellow bookworm, told me about the Dear Reader book club.  Not only does it support local libraries, but Dear Reader founder, Suzanne Beecher, has constant giveaways - that include lots of cookies! - shares lots of yummy recipes, and writes a daily column that I now could not imagine starting my mornings without.

Every Monday morning, Suzanne starts a new book with us in any of your chosen genre(s).  Throughout the rest of the week, you get to read a chapter or more of that book until - by Friday - you've gotten through about 2-3 chapters of a new book.  It's an excellent way to enjoy reading for those of us with hectic schedules and precious little time to devote to the simple joy of reading.

Since Suzanne is big on supporting libraries, and I knew if I started buying new books every week Baret would kill me, I re-instated my long-expired library card.  Now, when a book I'm reading through the club whets my appetite for more, I add it to my new "Library List" on my iPod Touch.  Since the library is right by where I work, I can pop in easily on my lunch hour to pick up or drop off books as I need.

There are lots of juicy genres to choose from and you can choose as many as you like.  There are also deals on books purchased through the club at Amazon at week's end and an AuthorBuzz to sign up for where you can learn a bit more about certain authors and even enter contests to win signed books.  Recently added, as well, was Kid's Buzz where you can learn about great, new titles for children as well as get to know the authors.

All in all, Dear Reader is a book lover's paradise.  Normally when I sign up for newsletters, to be honest, I rarely end up reading them and usually just end up unsubscribing to save some space in my overloaded inbox.  But I now cannot imagine starting out my day without Suzanne's funny, friendly column and a quick dose and engaging read from my favorite genres.  I really do suggest you, at least, give Dear Reader a try for a week or two.  I think you'll be as delighted as I have been with the newsletters.  In fact, I almost guarantee it for, as Suzanne always says, "It's good to read with friends."

Thanks for your posting on this blog. From my experience, there are occassions when softening upwards a photograph may possibly provide the wedding photographer with an amount of an artsy flare. Often times however, that soft cloud isn't what precisely you had in mind and can in many cases spoil an otherwise good image, especially if you consider enlarging that.
